5-Year BSc/MD Program

6-Year BSc/MD Program

Entry Qualifications: Secondary School Diploma – A high school or O-levels diploma with a strong performance in science.

  • American or Canadian High School curriculum
  • IGCSE (“O-Levels”): B or better in minimum 6 subjects, which include Biology, Chemistry, Math and English
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education

English Proficiency*: Since English is the language of instruction at our medical schools, it is important that applicants be prepared academically to pursue the curriculum and be able to communicate effectively. Applicants whose principal language is not English may be required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

For our 5-year program, candidates typically require completion of 10+2 with science subjects including math, biology, chemistry, and physics.
Caribbean countries under GUS are tropical, akin to India, with a significant Indian community. The medium of instruction is typically English, and candidates should familiarize themselves with the climate and cultural aspects of the region.
GUS universities provide academic and social support, including wellness advisors, teaching assistants, and tutors. Housing guides and information on average living costs are also provided.
Students should consider residency outcomes, USMLE pass rates, and university success stories to inform their decision-making process.
While GUS facilitates medical course admissions, it’s generally not recommended for students to take up part-time work due to heavy course loads.
